Do Extreme Weight Loss Diets Really Work?

So how do you go about choosing a weight loss program when you have so many choices? Do you read independent reviews? If so, how do you know they are truly independent? These are the tough questions that dieters around the world face each day. I may not have all the answers but I do have some insight to what works and what doesn't! Let's talk about extreme dieting plans and which ones are safe versus those that should be avoided at all cost. Really low calorie count This is a new way of dieting being promoted via social websites and internet marketing tactics. The idea here is to reduce your daily calorie intake so much that your body is literally forced to lose weight. The problem with this type of weight loss program is a lack of proper nutrients. It is almost impossible to reach what is recommended as a daily allowance with such tight restrictions on how much you can eat. Most of these programs would encourage a 550-650 calorie per day eating schedule. Even with the added super formulas they try to sell you on, this is a dangerous way to lose weight even for those who are willing to go to extremes. Drastic exercise programs First let me just say, I agree with adding exercise to any quality diet plan but who could possibly withstand the routines that some of the most popular programs will ask of you? Not to mention "this is not going to be fun at all", not by a long shot! Keep in mind that each person has a different health level also, some of these plans may do more harm then good. It is wise to check with your physician (if you have one) before buying into one of these types of diets. Fat burning pills This is one of those grey areas where if you were to choose a good and high quality supplement, it may really help you to lose weight. Of course regular exercise and proper eating habits will be necessary for you to achieve the desired results! As with just about any popular dieting programs you will find that over time studies and testimonials change. This is because it takes a little time for all of the side affects and true results to get reported. The FDA is a good indication on what is safe and probably effective. We list regular updates on this very thing and you can do research which will also keep you informed about what is happening in the diet industry.
